Jim Jensen has served as a director of Wasatch Funds since 1990, and currently serves as Chairman. He is the CEO of ClearWater Governance Group and is of counsel to Woodbury & Kesler and Bayhill Capital Corporation (previously Cognigen Networks). His board positions also include Intelisum, where he was a founder, the University of Utah Research Foundation, and Exeven Therapeutics Corp., which he also founded and serves as CEO and director.
From 1986 to 2004, Jim served as a director, vice president, general counsel and secretary to NPS Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a public biotechnology company. He was an outside director to InterWest Home Medical, Inc., a public home medical supplies company. Jim was also outside counsel, and later, Chief Financial Officer to Cericor, a public technology company later sold to Hewlett-Packard; General Counsel of Dictaphone Corporation; and was the founder and first president of the MountainWest Capital Network. Jim was a founder, board member and first legal counsel to the Utah Ronald McDonald House.
Jim graduated from the University of Utah, served a Fulbright Grant in Mexico and received his J.D. and M.B.A. degrees from Columbia University. He frequently lectures about technology and corporate governance. In addition to teaching university computer law and entrepreneurship courses, Jim has written articles about legal issues in high-tech start-up companies.
