Objective:

The International Micro Cap Portfolio seeks to provide long-term growth of capital. It targets primarily foreign micro cap companies in developed and emerging countries that can grow their earnings in a steady and consistent fashion over long periods of time. It invests in at five of the countries included in the MSCI AC World ex-USA Small Cap Index.

Strategy:

This Portfolio invests primarily in very small growth companies with market capitalizations of less than $1 billion at the time of purchase. It will typically invest 20-50% of its total assets in companies in emerging markets. The International Micro Cap Portfolio assets under management are closely monitored and limited in order to preserve our investment strategies in these micro companies.

Compared to Other Wasatch Portfolios:

This Portfolio invests in smaller companies than International Small Cap Growth and is more aggressive.

Small Cap Index is an unmanaged index that measures the performance of stocks with market capitalizations between U.S. $200 million and $1.5 billion across 22 developed markets, excluding the United States.   The MSCI AC World Ex U.S.A. Small Cap Index is an unmanaged index and includes reinvestment of all dividends of issuers located in countries throughout the world representing developed and emerging markets, excluding securities of U.S. issuers. This index is a free float-adjusted market capitalization index designed to measure the performance of small capitalization securities.
