Landscape

The Wasatch Micro Cap Value Portfolio is focused on undervalued micro cap companies with future growth potential.

About This Portfolio

Inception:7/28/2003
Net Assets:$190.5 (million) as of 03/31/14
Account Minimum:$1 million
Objective:

The Micro Cap Value Portfolio seeks long-term growth of capital. It focuses on the smallest companies that we believe are temporarily undervalued but have significant potential for stock price appreciation.

Strategy:

This Portfolio invests primarily in undervalued companies with market capitalizations of less than $1 billion at the time of purchase. Holdings in the Micro Cap Value Portfolio generally fall into one of four categories: Fallen Angel (growth company with what we believe is a temporary setback), Value Momentum (cheap valuation but growth potential identified), Undiscovered Gem (attractive company yet to be discovered by Wall Street), and Hidden Value (assets or earnings potential not fully reflected in stock price). The Micro Cap Value Portfolio may invest up to 30% of its total assets in foreign securities.

Compared to Other Wasatch Portfolios:

This Portfolio invests in smaller companies and is more aggressive than Small Cap Value.
